Readeez
Readeez is an entertainment company created by Michael Rachap. Michael is an excellent musician from the USA who plays piano and guitar. He creates short video clips of music, illustrations and jolly phonics that help young children learn to read while having fun. The lyrics are presented to the viewer in time with the music, syllable by syllable, in a style that Michael calls SyllableSync. These Readeez are available for sale as DVDs or MP4 downloads and our kids love them!
Some of the songs and music written for the Readeez were so good that Micheal decided to release a compilation CD of the most popular songs. This album is called Songeez and we have it in constant rotation in the car. No car journey is complete without a blast of Songeez! One of our favourite tracks from the album is Sandy Beach. When we first heard the song, we thought it had a Elvis Costello vibe to it. Hear for yourself below in his youtube video clip:
